Parent and Community Input Sought for District’s Enrollment Management Plan

On Wednesday, May 16^ththe San Mateo-Foster City School District would like to invite you to attend an Enrollment Management Forum facilitated by Decision Insight Consultants Dean Waldfogel and Bruce Terry.  Participants may attend any of the five scheduled meetings to be held at the District Office – 1170 Chess Drive, Foster City from:

• 9:00-10:00 am
• 10:00-11:00 am
• 3:00-4:00 pm
• 4:00-5:00 pm
• 5:00-6:00 pm

The purpose of the forum is to solicit ideas for the District’s Enrollment Management Plan which will address increasing enrollment throughout the district.

El miércoles, 16 de mayo el Distrito Escolar de San Mateo y Foster City quisiera invitarlos para que asistan a un Foro de Administración de Matriculación  facilitado por los Consultores de Decision Insight Consultants,  Dean Waldfogel  y Bruce Terry.  El propósito del foro es solicitar ideas para el Plan de Administración de Matriculación del Distrito que se dirigirá al aumento de matriculación a través del distrito.

Congratulations to our Silent Auction Winners: Olivia Veis and Jakob Veis. They were the highest bidders for Principal for A Day!! On Wednesday, April 25th, Principal Jakob and Principal Olivia worked with Mrs. Bartfield on a variety of jobs. They visited all of the classrooms, completed some office work and did yard duty!

As of January 1, 2012, a change to the California’s Child Passenger Safety Seat law now requires the following:

• Children under the age of 12 must ride in the back seat.
• All children, age 8 and younger, must ride in a booster seat (or child safety seat) unless that child is 4’9” or taller.  At that height – regardless of age – they are allowed to use just a seatbelt.
• A proper seatbelt fit = the lap belt is low on the hips touching the upper thighs, and the shoulder belt crossing the center of the chest.
• Age 8 and over at any height needs a seat belt and must be in the back seat.
